Welcome to Tanda Consumer Onboarding

Welcome to the Tanda Consumer Onboarding API documentation! This set of APIs allows you to seamlessly register, verify, and activate consumers on the Tanda platform. Once onboarded, consumers can access our Wallet as a Service (WaaS) features, enabling mobile money transactions, bank transfers, and peer-to-peer payments directly within your application.

Before You Begin: Prerequisites

To ensure a smooth onboarding flow, make sure you have the following in place:

  1. Organization Access: You must have a valid organizationId and API credentials for authentication.
  2. Consumer Data: Ensure you collect accurate consumer details (e.g., full name, ID number, mobile number).
  3. Document Uploads: Consumers must provide required identification documents (e.g., National ID, Passport, Selfie).
  4. Verification Channel: Consumers must have access to their registered mobile number to complete OTP verification.

Staging Environment

Important: We strongly recommend testing your integration in our staging environment before going live. Ensure your application points to the staging API base URL:
